Dr. Norman Geisler,
PhD, is a prolific author, veteran professor, speaker, lecturer,
traveler, philosopher, apologist, evangelist, and theologian. To
those who ask, "Who is Norm Geisler?" some have suggested,
"Well, imagine
a cross between Thomas Aquinas and Billy Graham and you're not
too far off." Norm has authored/coauthored over 80 books and hundreds of articles. He has taught theology, philosophy, and apologetics on the college or graduate level for over 50 years. He has served as a professor at some of the finest Seminaries in the United States, including Trinity Evangelical Seminary, Dallas Seminary, and Southern Evangelical Seminary. The first edition of this book was published under the title of Thomas Aquinas: An Evangelical Appraisal in 1991 by Baker Book House. This revised, 2013 e-book edition available here at Bastion Books is available as an e-book only. It is a light but complete revision of all chapters which adds two completely new chapters—-one on evil and one on the origin, nature, and destiny of human beings. In addition, it updates the bibliography with some of the most important recent works by and on Aquinas. I wish to commend the Board of Southern
Evangelical Seminary (SES) for its excellent choice of a new
president. Dr. Richard Land was Paige Patterson's Dean in Dallas
at Criswell College and Divinity School. He has an Oxford Ph.D.
He was head of the Southern Baptist Ethics and Religious Liberty
Commission. He is nationally known, conservative, and a strong
defender of Christianity in the culture. He will be a great
